The original Cube, released in 1999, was less of a challenge to solve, but it still had a good run and established a strong legacy. With its predecessor, Cube 2: Hypercube, director Kari Matchett, producer Steven Cooper and writer Grace Lynn Kung continue the story of a group of people trapped in a large structure. It's been eight years since the original, and a few people have either been killed off or otherwise left the series. Still, the good people trapped inside are attempting to find a way out. This time, they're not sure what to believe about the way things are, whether this reality is the same as the one they were brought into, and how the hell everything works. They set off a series of traps along the way, hoping to catch the culprits who may have put them in here, and in the process, find a way out themselves.
